Alternanthera Reineckii Narrow Leaf is one of the most coveted red stem plants in the aquascaping hobby. Its slender, lance-shaped leaves emerge in deep shades of pink, magenta, and burgundy — intensifying to a rich crimson under strong light. ✦ Color & performance notes
AR Narrow Leaf is a rewarding plant but rewards good conditions. Under low light it will survive but lose much of its red coloration, shifting toward green. High light, CO₂, and consistent macro/micro nutrient dosing unlock its full color potential — deep reds and magentas that photograph beautifully and stand out against green foreground plants.

AR Narrow Leaf grows at a moderate pace. Trim the tops when stems reach your desired height and replant cuttings directly into the substrate — they root readily and maintain their color from the start. Regular trimming encourages bushy, dense growth and prevents the lower stems from becoming leggy.
